Check out these powerful stats...

We recently shared the following stats with our administrators...

  • Every student in grades 3 through 12 has the option of using a school-issued Chromebook (which they can take home) or their own personal internet capable device for learning every day.
  • Our users (students and employees) typically visit more than 2 million different websites per day.
  • Our users initiate about 15 million internet searches per day.
  • On a typical school day, our students as a group spend more than 1,500 hours creating Google Documents, 600 hours working on math and reading practice, and 250 hours working through virtual classroom assignments.
  • On any given day, our internet filter blocks more than 90,000 malicious or inappropriate online activities.  Our student devices are filtered whether the device is being used on or off campus, 24 hours a day.
  • Our district’s internet connection has a capacity of 1 Gigabyte per second, and during school hours, we are typically using 94% of that capacity.
  • Our district maintains 20,000 computers and internet capable devices, 13,000 of which access the internet wirelessly through more than 900 internet access points.
  • On any given day, more than 23,000 devices connect to our wireless network, including personal devices that students bring with them to school.
  • Our district receives and sends more than 1.4 million emails per day.
  • Our 7 instructional technology coaches provide on-site training and daily support for more than 2,000 employees.
  • Our 6 district technicians complete more than 35,000 work orders per year.
